1/2 c apple sauce/pureed apple
1/2 c steel cut oats*
1 tb ghee or butter
2 c milk of choice (I use almond milk)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 tb maple syrup or honey
Berries and nuts to serve
*Steel cut oats can be found at health food stores or The Source Bulk Foods
- Place ingredients into a 1 litre ceramic bowl that will fit inside the insert of your slow cooker.
- Fill the slow cooker with water until it comes half way up the ceramic bowl containing the ingredients.
- Place the lid on the slow cooker and turn on low. Cook for 8 hours (overnight)
- Serve the oats in bowls with berries and nuts, or toppings of your choice.
